This is an easy dust-on type karaage coating mix, you simply coat the meat and fry. Can be cooked with just 1 cm of oil.
preparation
- Fried Chicken Powder: 1/2 packet (50g / 1.76 oz)
- Chicken: about 500g (1.1 lbs) (two pieces of thigh meat)
- Can be used for various ingredients like meat, fish, and vegetables as you prefer.
Steps
- Coat bite-sized pieces of chicken well with the karaage powder. (Do not add water.)
- Let it sit for 3 minutes until it becomes moist.
- Fry in oil heated to 160–170°C (320–340°F) for about 3 minutes.
- If using 1 cm (0.4 inches) depth of oil, fry for 4.5 minutes while turning.
