Frosted Shrimp Sandwich

The subtle sweetness pairs perfectly with shrimp!

Ingredients (Serves 2) Amount
Siscon Frost 15g (0.53 oz)
White bread (8-slice thickness) 2 slices
Potato starch (katakuriko) As needed
Salad oil 2 tablespoons
Peeled shrimp 100g (3.53 oz)
Onion 30g (1.06 oz)
Seasoning Amount
Sake 2 teaspoons
Salt A pinch
Pepper A pinch
Potato starch 1 tablespoon
  1. Finely chop the onion. Remove the vein from the peeled shrimp and chop them finely with a knife.
  2. In a bowl, combine the mixture from step 1 and the seasonings. Mix well.
  3. Cut off the crusts of the bread. Sprinkle potato starch on one side of the bread, spread the mixture from step 2 on top, then sprinkle Siscon Frost over the mixture and press it down lightly with your hand.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the bread, frosted side down, into the pan and cook until golden brown. Then flip it over and cook the other side.
  5. Note: The other side cooks faster, so be careful not to burn it. Be careful not to burn yourself while cooking or eating.
